I think as an industry we still have a lot to learn about AI code generation. Based only on my intuition and without much empirical evidence, I feel like these "magical" tools cause more long-term issues than benefits.
I do see value in AI code reviews and code assistants, but tools like Lovable or v0 tend to create security risks, messy code structures and eventually stop working as expected. By then, the codebase is so tangled that manual changes become really hard too.
