Therapy isn't cheap. If the clients can just go to ChatGPT for the exact same response, what exactly are they paying for? They have every right to be triggered and I'm not sure how anyone could keep seeing a therapist who sent them a copy/paste from AI in response to something like a pet dying.
A therapist doing this is betraying their patients by disclosing things shared in confidence. That alone makes that therapist untrustworthy and unacceptable. We don't even need to consider the LLM aspect.
