There are few options in the Philippines, and BPO is actually a well respected career and skillset that is worthwhile to refine. There is very little “etc. etc”; especially if you’ve relied on this skillset for years.
Sad to think how much human capital is wasted this way. Edit: especially in low-wage or less-developed countries where this loss hurts the most.
